Nut is supposed to be a very beautiful woman that, at night, hangs over the sky and watched over you while you sleep. She does not wear a headdress, but has very long, beautiful, black hair. In the picture above, you will see that Nut is wearing a white dress with gold trimming, but she wore either a dark blue dress with stars everywhere on it, or she was naked, and blue with stars on her.
The picture on the top left-hand side of this paper represents how the Egyptian goddess, Nut, would change day to night, and protect the Egyptians through it. She was the care-taker of the sky and heavens, death and burial, animals, immortality, and physical bravery. Nut was also the mother and/or guardian of everyone.
If I were to build a temple for Nut, it would be like a huge golden bowl that sat on the ground, and about the size of three, two story houses put together. Up above you there would be an opening that let you see the sky to look at the stars. Inside there would be a lot of statues of Nut to represent their admiration to her. The walls would have stars and one full moon painted on them and the floor would be granite.There would be only one huge room in the building, with stairs that led up to a big balcony that was made of stone. The colors used for the walls would be a dark blue, while the floor would be light blue in the middle, and black around it.
